THE Milo Best Center will kick off its Basketball Clinic on May 7to 12 at the Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) Matina Campus Sports Complex.
Best Center Davao commissioner Michael Chad Bouffard said Tuesday that the clinic will cater to participants aging from five to 55 years old.
He said children ages five to eight will have to enroll in the introduction to the game while participants ages nine to 55 may sign up for level 1.
Those who have enrolled in the past will just have to present their certificates of participation to advance to the next level of the clinic.
A tournament for Small Basketeers of the Philippines (SBP) 9-11 and the pasarelle 12-14 divisions will serve as culminating activity.
"The tournament, however, will not be very competitive since we advise the coaches to treat opposing teams as playmates and not as competitors," Bouffard said in the vernacular during the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the Tower Inn.
Registration is P2,800 inclusive of the introductory course and a T shirt while fee for other level course is P2,300 also with T-shirt.
For registration, visit Ateneo Matina campus gate 3 or at Door 6, 165-5 Major Bldg. along Bonifacio St. Interested registrants may also contact the Best Center office at telephone number (082)221-0581.
The Best Center, which began in 1978, had produced the likes of former PBA rookie of the year and most valuable player Benjie Paras, Smart-Gilas Pilipinas captain Chris Tiu and Powerade Tigers all-star guard Jayvee Casio, among others.
The Best Center basketball clinic is backed by Milo Philippines.
