YESTERDAY, Thursday, I decided to play golf at Apo Golf Club and there were no ladies present, so I joined the flight of four respectable gentlemen. After the game, I joined them at the clubhouse for drinks. After five bottles of beer, heto na, mayayabang na lahat.

The first man said, “My son is a priest, when he walks into a room, everyone calls him ‘Father.’” The second man chirps, “My son is a Bishop. When he walks into a room, people call him ‘Your Grace.’” The third man says, “My son is a Cardinal. When he enters a room everyone says ‘Your Eminence.’” The fourth man then brags, “My son is the Pope.

When he walks into a room, people call him ‘Your Holiness.’”
I was just there, keeping quiet, holding my beer, drinking away…and the four gentlemen looked at me and said, “Well, do you have anything to say?”

I replied, “I have no sons to brag about, but everytime I walk into a room wearing a sexy outfit, people stare at me and say, “Oh My God!” Wahahahaha! I’m so kapal. Two weeks in a row na. Joke!

And so, Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova won in the French Open. In the NBA, Miami Heat won against Boston Celtics, and Oklahoma City Thunder beat the LA Lakers. In boxing, Timothy Bradley won, and Manny Pacquiao lost. Oh well. But, Manny earned 26 million dollars. Galit na galit si Mommy D! This coming November, the rematch is between Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley. Toink!

Today is the first day of the live coverage of the 2012 US Open. If you missed it, you can watch the replay later. After golf, it’s the NBA! Good thing the French Open is over, because if not, everyone will lack sleep in the coming days.

Just so you know, here are the previous US Open Golf winners in the past 10 years: 2011—Rory McIlroy, 2010 – Graeme McDowell, 2009 – Lucas Glover, 2008 – Tiger Woods, 2007 – Angel Cabrera, 2006 – Geoff Ogilvy, 2005 – Michael Campbell, 2004 – Retief Goosen, 2003 – Jim Furyk, 2002 – Tiger Woods.

Who will be the champion this year? Si Mommy Dionisia! Hahaha! Joke!
FYI, on day 1, which is this morning, Tiger Woods will be grouped with two lefties—Phil Michelson and Bubba Watson. I wonder who will hit farther—Bubba or Tiger? I have a feeling the two of them will struggle at keeping their drives straight. I am 100 percent sure that they will both hit the trees. Most likely, Phil will score better. Tiger, please, hwag ‘mag-sapot’ if a camera is focused on you. It is such a turn off.
Okay girls, this is the group that you need to watch out for—the group of Rickie Fowler and Ryo Ishikawa. Both are young and cute, and oh, they are single, and have a promising future in the world of golf. But Ryo is believed to be engaged already to his long-time girlfriend. He is only 20 years old. Rickie is 23 years old.

One more flight to watch is the group of Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood. Rory is the defending champion, an Irishman, paired with two top British players.

The venue of the 2012 US Open is the Olympic Club in San Francisco. It is a tough course because the fairways are narrow and are lined up with trees, plus, the greens are small and surrounded by many bunkers. Accuracy is very important. So if the ball ends up in the rough or in the area covered with trees, it is hard to make par. The trick is—to keep the ball on the fairway, so they will have a chance at making a birdie.

Don’t forget, the 24th GET Open Golf Tournament is this coming Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Apo Golf Club. One Million pesos cash is the hole-in-one prize. The proceeds will go to the Mount Apo Science Foundation.
Advance Happy Father’s Day Daddy, and to all the fathers out there!
Here is an update on the Dynasty Cup of Rancho Palos Verdes. After Day 2, here are the overall standings: 1st–1st Tee (40), 2nd–Pomelo Verde A (28), 3rd–Amiya (28), 4th–Beijing Dream Team (26),
