Lutche rules long boarding competition

TEAM Chunks bet McKevin Lutche emerged overall champion in the District Treelogy Long boarding Competition held in different venues in the city recently.
Lutche, a 4th year Civil Engineering student of the University of the Immaculate Concepcion (UIC), captured the titles in two legs beating Cholo Papica, Bot Ibarra and Coi Tarriela who wounded up in the next three spots.
Lutche emerged champion in the Landmark Leg by racing past Papica and Ibarra who placed second and third, respectively. He also clinched the title in the Toril Leg after defeating Ibarra and Papica who took the next two spots.
Papica, however, clinched the title in the Maa Leg as Lutche settled for second while Ibarra wounded up in third.
The Slide Challenge title also ended up at the hands of Lutche after pulling off a standup toeslide trick.
A total of P29,000 worth of cash prizes, gift checks and merchandises were given away to the winners during the awarding at the Dorbies Diner in Jacinto Extension on Saturday.
Some 40 longboarders from Davao City, General Santos City and Digos City took part in the extreme sports event. (RPSA)
