ALL roads will lead to SM City Davao when the Kadayawan Phoenix "I Recycle' Run hits the road on August 12.
This year's edition of the annual run will benefit the Talomo-Lipadas watershed, one of the two watersheds that serve as the main source of water supply in Davao City. One tree will be planted to help and protect the watershed for every runner who registers.
Organizers said registration had started and is still going on at Phoenix Petroleum Acacia St. and Damosa stations, Davao City Water District office along J.P. Laurel Avenue and at the Duaw Davao office at Wheels N' More Compound, JP Laurel Avenue.
Interested participants may join the three-kilometer (3K), 5K, 10K, and 500-meter dash for kids 12 years old and under.
Entry fees are P99 (500m), P149 (3K), P249 (5K) and P299 (10K).
Groups may avail of discounts. A group of 10 gets one free registration. A student group of 10 shall only pay P199 each for 5K or P129 each for 3K. Students, however, will have to present valid school IDs upon registration.
The run, which is being held in partnership with DCWD, SM City as venue partner and TV5 as official media partner, also serves as a tribute to Ninoy Aquino and his ideals of freedom and love for country.
