DBL-SBP action resumes at SkyGym

THE Duterte Basketball League (DBL) and Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) Inter-Private High School Junior Championships resumes action today at the Gaisano Grand Citimall SkyGym today.
Ateneo de Davao University tries to bounce back from its first game loss when it battles Jose Maria College (JMC) at 10 a.m. The Miguel Solitaria-coached Ateneo bowed to Holy Child School of Davao (HCSD) Reds, 73-86, in the July 7 opener.
Solitaria expects Dale Soriano and Sean Africa along with team captain Patrick Dulay to step up for the squad.
Defending champion HCSD Reds, mentored by Ildefonso Cunanan, eyes it second win as it tests the mettle of Emar Learning Center at 11:30 a.m. The latter also lost its debut game at the hands of Assumption College of Davao, 64-104.
The main game pits ACD against Agro-Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines (AIFCP) at 1 p.m. Agro has yet to enter the winning column having lost its first outing opposite Ford Academy of the Arts.
The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP)-sanctioned cagefest is being organized as tune-up for the upcoming revival of the GS Cup.
