Alia Orange grabs lead

THE Alia Orange FC grabbed the lead with six wins, zero draw and two losses at the start of the Kia Rio Cup at The SM Annex.

Alia Orange FC defeated Rabies FC (3-2), SVDB FC (3-1), Bloopers (6-3) before bowing to Davao Crocodile FC, 2-3, in the first round.

Alia Orange bounced back by beating Rabies FC (3-1), SVDB FC (3-1) and Davao Crocodile FC (3-2) only to fall at the hands of Bloopers, 2-3, in the second round.

Davao Crocodile FC and SVDB FC share the next two spots with identical 5-0-1 card while 2-0-6 Bloopers and 1-0-7 Rabies FC occupied the bottom of the team standings.

The teams were playing the third round as of presstime.

Cash prizes and trophies await winners in the event sanctioned by the Davao Football Association and presented by Kia Motors Philippines. (RPSA)
