All set for Ferrazzini golfest

PREPARATIONS shift to high gear for the Merco-Selecta Anselmo M. Ferrazzini 10th Memorial Golf Tournament slated Sept. 15 and 16 at the Apo Golf & Country Club.
Merco president and general-manager Anton Ferrazzini said the tournament will benefit the Maharlika Charity Foundation Inc. that has been the beneficiary of Merco-backed events in the past.
MCFI has been helping thousands of poor, disabled patients, burn victims, those suffering from eye defect, congenital anomalies and other diseases for free.
The 18-hole shotgun system format Stableford team and individual competition is open to all male and female amateur golfers 24 years old and above.
It will only accommodate up to 350 players teeing of at 9 a.m. on opening day; 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the second and final day.
All female amateur golfers, however, will have to tee off at the ladies tee except on the par 3’s.
Hole-in-one prizes include four brand new motorcycles, two brand new golf sets and one Panasonic 32" LCD TV.
Awards and prizes await the net team champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, third runner-up and fourth runner-up as well as the over-all gross champion, over-all net champion, class A,B,C,D gross champion, gross first runner-up, gross second runner-up, net champion, net first runner-up and net second runner-up.
Entry fee is P2,500 per player of P5,000 per two-member team inclusive of freebies.
Deadline of registration and payment is on Sept. 12 at AGCC, Rancho Palos Verdes Golf & Country Club, Davao City Golf Club and at Merco Cabaguio office.
