Merco anniversary fun run list-up on

REGISTRATION is open for the annual Merco Anniversary Fun Run set on October 21 in an out-and-back course from the Rizal Park.

Merco president and general manager Anton Ferrazzini said runners may start signing up this early for the footrace that will benefit the Maharlika Charity Foundation Inc. anew.

It features the boys and girls 3K category for 12 years old and below as well as male and female 5K and 10K open.

The 3K walk-jog with your pet event is also entered.

Cash prizes await top 10 5K winners with the first three finishers pocketing P2,000, P1,500 and P1,000 while the 10K open champion will receive P3,500 and the next two placers will get P2,500 and P2,000.

Cash prizes will also be given away to the fourth to seventh finishers.

In 3K, prizes of P1,500, P1,000, P700, P500 and P300 will go to the first five runners of each division.

All top three winners will also go home with trophies.

Gift certificates are at stake for 3K jog with your pet top three finishers in the race organized by Merco, Selecta and Orient Glass. It is managed by Vantage Sports Promotions.

Fee is only P200 inclusive of singlet.

Interested participants may sign up at Merco Bolton, Quirino and Cabaguio branches.

Raffle prizes will also be given away.
