THE Agro-Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines (AIFCP) Sailors hacked out an 89-78 win over AMA Computer College (Amacc) in the opener of the 12th Araw ng Digos Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament at the Digos City Gym on Sunday evening.

Gabriel Dagangon poured in 33 points to lead scoring for the BLBE Auto Repair Shop's Alex Almario-backed Agro Sailors. Teammates God Tismo and Jefrey Basamayor chipped in identical 13 markers for the Mat Cubero-coached squad. Cubero is being assisted by Roderick Conda.

Amacc, mentored by Rhoel Josol, led the first quarter but the Agro Sailors rallied in the second period and kept the momentum to secure their first win in the cagefest presented by the city government of Digos.
