10th Ferrazzini memorial golfest tees off at AGCC

A TOTAL of 215 players will vie for honors when the Merco and Selecta-backed 10th Anselmo M. Ferrazzini Memorial Golf Tournament tees off at 9 a.m. today at the Apo Golf and Country Club.

Participants, according to Merco president and general manager Anton Ferrazzini, come from Zamboanga City, Angeles City, Metro Manila, General Santos City and Cebu City. The bulk of entries, however, are from Davao.
They will all be treated to unlimited pizza just like in the past editions.

Merco chair John Ferrazzini spearheads the ceremeonial tee-off. Expected to join him are Selecta's Janmar Roque, lawyer Mans Carpio, who is representing Mayor Sara Duterte, co-presentor Jaap Van Der Sluis and AGCC president Jimmy Larrabaster.

The two-day shotgun tee-off event stakes three Yamaha Vega motorcycles, one 32-inch Panasonic LCD TV and two Tour Edge golf sets as hole-in-one prizes. All these will be raffled off if not won at the golf course.

Other raffle items include Turbo broilers, microwave ovens, stainless blade stand fans, vacuum cleaners, cellphones, Magic Sing, washing machines, water dispenser, 24-inch LCD TV, airconditioner, refrigerator and 32-inch LCD TV.

The tournament, co-presented by Ralph's Wine & Spirits and Golf FX, will again benefit the Maharlika Charity Foundation, Inc. that's been helping thousands of poor, disabled patients, burn victims, those suffering from eye defects, congenital anomalies and other diseases.
