Green Greenwich tops ILLC games

THE Green Greenwich emerged overall champion in the just-concluded Independent Living Learning Centre (ILLC) Davao 4th Friendship Cup held at the Greenheights Business Convention Center covered court.
Green Greenwich prevailed over Red K1 and Blue SM that settled for second and third, respectively.
Green Greenwhich dazzled the crowd with its routines, chants and props to rule the cheerdance competition as Red K1 and Blue SM wounded up in the next two spots.
Green Greenwich also swept the obstacle relay, ball relay event and form the sentence events.
Meg Bantilan of Green Greenwich was named most valuable player (MVP).
Red K1, for its part, copped the bowling, word search and the memory game titles.
Blue SM, meanwhile, captured the flag relay crown.
Jerico Labatorio of Blue SM, for his part, emerged champion in the poster making contest.
ILLC principal Anna Maria Angeles, in an interview, said the annual games is being organized to showcase the athletic, creative, and academic abilities of the students with special needs.
Angeles added the event taught the students the value of sportsmanship and teamwork.
ILLC provides special programs for youth and adults with special needs. Their office is located at 66-D. Suazo Street. (RPSA)
