JAY Aseneta was a revelation to us at Scoop as the safety officer of the International Defensive Pistol Association of the recent Ist Putukang Laang Kawal of the 7th Air Reserve Center in Davao City.

We have known Jay only as a judo player and champion coach especially to his own children like Charisse, the national judo champ.

In the lineup of guests to the recent Scoop of the Royal Mandaya Hotel, Jay brought along with him First Lt. Michael Jonathan Guinto of the Philippine Air Force to present the 5-man team and individual championship.

The shooting event has the full backing of Col. Joselito Dalumpines, Commanding Officer of the 7th Air Reserve Center, PAF. Lt. Junior Grade Jeson Baylon presented the eveny in behalf of his commanding officer.

Help us to acknowledge also the support of the Air Force Reserve Command, PAF-SOG 11, Tactical Operations Group- Davao and the Tactical Operations Wing.

That's the Air Force. Next is the Navy. The Naval Special Operations Group.

More specifically, the Naval Special Operations Unit 7 or NavSOU 7 on their sea, air and land shooting competition in cooperation with the Panabo Pistol and Rifle Association .

This is the final weekend salvo for the month of October and part of Panabo City’s contribution to the readiness of the Davao Region to embrace peace and make shooting as a sports event while at the same time making the combat skills of the special units and their counterpart civilian groups at par with the other specialized units of the four major commands of the AFP.

Just one day after NAVSOU 7, on Sunday October 28, 2012 is another interesting event.

Kelvin John Du's smiles reminds me of the sensational Jeremy Lin while Criselda Joyce is way beyond compare as the couple of the 2007 SMAD Alumni presented the next fun run in preparation of the November 1 and 2 Holidays.

Ahead of them in two of the first zombie runs in Davao is the TakBooohan na of the Ateneo de Davao High School Batch 87, presented and worked out by the group of Lani Magbanua Matalam and Dr. Bob Bandolon.

These are the two running events where you can either register as a masked zombie hounding the fun runners in the morning of Oct. 28 for the TakBoohan and on the same day in the afternoon is Kelvin John's Havoc Not

Your Ordinary Fun Run.

Assembly point for the TakBoohan is Ateneo de Davao Matina Campus while Havoc Fun Run is at the Rancho Palos Verdes Country Club.

Also at Scoop was Ted Uy of the Holiday Gym and Spa for the next 3-on-3 event where our very own Jon Develos and Jimmy Javier have made their previous best third place finish playing against varsity players who are ten, fifteen years younger than them.

Highway Run: Duterte-Duterte 24/7.
