Unit 1 bets capture DCAA tablenet golds

UNIT 1 bets Forhens Pareda and Kristal Kieth Almoroto clinched gold medals in the just-concluded Davao City Athletic Association (DCAA) Meet 2012 table tennis tournament held at Spin Davao.
Pareda defeated Unit 3's Herzel Abendan in their titular showdown, 3-0, to seize the elementary boys singles gold. Abendan took the silver while Jeffrey Petalcorin of Unit 1 got the bronze.
Almoroto, meanwhile, captured the girls gold by beating teammate Corrine Cartera in the finals, 3-1. Unit 2's Jean Gelicame and Lilian Zabate occupied the next two spots.
Luigi Zerrudo of Unit 6 pocketed the secondary boys singles title at the expense of teammate Gary Aquino, Unit 4's Marvin Ladera and Unit 3's John Togon who occupied the next three spots.
Unit 3's Issa Lee Darlo annexed the secondary girls singles title by beating Unit 6's Pamela Ng in the finals.
In doubles, the Unit 2 tandem of Rhem John Baguio and John Brigole defeated the Unit 4 pair of Jeraldy Sagatu and Joshua Barahma in the championship, 3-1, to bag the elementary boys crown. Rigil Dalagan and Karlo Torreon of Unit 6 placed third while Ryan Arbas and Petronilo Dumapias III of Unit 4 landed fourth.
The Unit 3 duo of Gracel Ablanque and Trisha Sasuman went home with the elementary girls title after hacking a 3-2 win over Unit 4's Linda Darlo and Catrina Lopez. Wella Jane Canlobo and Erica Urboda of Unit 2 placed third while Angela and Angelou Delino of Unit 1 came fourth.
The secondary boys doubles gold went to Unit 3's Lloyd Villamor and John Russel Misal at the expense of Unit 6's Barry Landanganon and Zepphan Almoroto who finished with silver.
Unit 4's Russel and Regine Quibod, for their part, annexed the secondary girls doubles title over Lovely Mae Burlado and Rugen Bibat of Unit 3.
The champions in each category earned the right to represent Davao City in the Davao Region Athletic Association (Davraa) Meet 2013 in Tagum City.
