HIGHLY-touted Romgarjal Football Club (FC) of Zamboanga del Norte defeated Advocates FC of Iligan City via default at the start of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF)-Smart National Club Championship Mindanao Finals at the Tionko field on Friday.
Davao Football Association (DFA) general secretary Erwin Protacio, in text messages to Sun.Star Davao, said Advocates FC, which was supposed to represent Lanao del Norte Football Association-Northern Mindanao, backed out at the last minute.

The top two teams after the single round-robin format eliminations will represent Mindanao to the quarter-finals along with two teams from the Visayas and Luzon and the top 10 teams of the ongoing United Football League (UFL).
