Wakeboard champ eyes better 2013

WAKEBOARDING champion Mikee Teh Selga of Davao City looks forward to a better 2013 having had accomplished more than she could ever imagine in 2012.
The Stella Maris Academy of Davao student finished sixth place in junior women's wakeskate division and eighth place in girls wakebaord division of the Worlds Wakeboard IWWF 2012 held at Deca Wake Park in Clark, Pampanga in November.
"The year 2012 was a great one for me because I got to meet new friends and hang out with them," 12-year-old Selga said via Facebook chat Friday afternoon.
She was over-all champion for the 2012 Asian Wake Park Tour for topping the first stop at Thai Wake Park, second stop at Ski 360 in Singapore and third stop at Republic Wake Park, Nuvali, Laguna.
She was also over-all champion in the Philippine Qualifier Series that earned her a slot to the Worlds Wakeboard IWWF 2012. She ruled the stops in Lago de Oro, Batangas, Deca Wake Park Davao and Deca Wake Clark.
She also dominated the open women's division of the Bohol Wakefest and Deca Wake Jam at Deca Wak Park Davao.
Selga said, "This year is going to be a time to practice more. I look forward to train and train until I can execute perfection. I will practice harder and train harder to accomplish more." (MLSA)
