SBC President's Cup rolls off at Fairlanes

SOME 20 teams will battle for honors as the 2013 SBC President's Cup rolls off at 7 p.m. today at Fairlanes Bowling Center along F. Torres St.
Sunday Bowlers Club (SBC) president Emie Orteza said two games will be played in the opener of the seven-game elimination series tournament.
Defending champion Diagold Pawnship will try to keep its title and pocket the P8,000 champion's prize at stake in the annual event that kicks off a busy year for the organizers. The runner-up will take home P6,000 while the next two placers will claim P4,000 and P3,000. A total cash prize of P5,000 also await Individual winners including the highest individual team score, highest individual double score, highest pinning, highest individual single and highest individual double, among others.
SBC also revived its youth bowling clinic that started on Jan. 13. The program aims to produce future national champions.
Other events lined up in the next few months are the Tatlohan Valentine's Tournament, Vice-President's Cup and the Auditor's Cup. SBC members will also compete in the 36th Annual National Fedbop Open Tournament on April 22 to 27.(MLSA)
