VETERANS-laden D'Adventurers 1 retained its lead by rolling a total of 3,440 pinfalls after six games in the resumption of the SBC President's Cup Bowling Tournament at the Fairlanes Bowling Center on Tuesday evening.
Joe Torres, couple Nonoy and Che-Che Calida, Marlowe Castillo and Senen Maligang will have to continue their fiery form in the last and final elimination game Thursday night for D' Adventurers 1 to secure the top spot of the step-the-ladder finals.
Jonzlibs climbed from third to second spot by hitting 3,371 pinfalls while defending champion Diagold Pawnshop, which placed fifth in the second round of elims, garnered 3,365 to grab the third place of the current team standings.
Erstwhile second-placer Unicorn Bowlers, bannered by female players, dropped to fourth with 3,353 pinfalls even as Fairlanes (3,335), then fourth, slumped to fifth.
Rounding up the top 10 were Team BBAD (3,331), Lady O Bowlers (3,290), Bill's Bowlers (3,238) and Maxcey's Veranda (3,213).
The Eaglets (3,210), NX Dreamers (3,158) and Hotlegs (3,153) took the next three spots in the event organized by the Sunday Bowlers Club under its president Emie Orteza.
In the masters qualifying, Bill Haboc of Bill's Bowlers amassed 265 in two games to claim the top spot in the championship set before the final elimination game. He will play for the title along with qualifiers Dennis Descallar (246), Jay Libres (244) and Berting Gorgonio (242).
Trophies and cash prizes await team winners with the champion set to receive P9,000, while the runner-up up will claim P6,000 and the next two placers will go home with, P4,000 and P3,000.
Individual winners will also pocket cash.
