Jr. NBA coaches' clinic set at AdDU Matina today

THE Jr. NBA will hold a free coaches' clinic at the Fr. Martinez Sports Center of the Ateneo de Davao University in Matina from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
NBA Asia director and country manager Carlo Singson, during a media launch hosted by partner Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. at Coffee Bean, SM Lanang Premier on Friday, said a free-registration school clinic for 10 to 14 years old will also get underway tomorrow (Sunday) at the same venue.
Singson said the partnership with PPPI will help strengthen the league's efforts in the country.
"The Jr. NBA presented by Alaska is an ideal tip-off event as both companies share a commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among youth through sport," Singson said.
Lawyer Raymond T. Zorrilla, PPPI vice-president for external affairs, welcomed the partnership, saying it is PPPI's goal to be known not just a local but a global brand like the NBA.
PPPI brand manager Celina Matias, for her part, said the partnership is an exciting opportunity to promote the company's key initiatives and help develop the youth through sports.
The Davao leg of the Jr. NBA Regional Selection Camp is slated March 9 and 10. (MLSA)
