Katipunera FC plays 2 Davao teams

METRO MANILA-based Katipunera FC, composed of players from Miriam College and other Rifa Cup member schools, plays two Davao City teams in separate exhibition games on the side of the 2nd DFA U16 Girls Football League that opens today at the Faith Academy Field, Marfori Heights Subd., Davao City.
Katipunera FC collides with Faith Academy at 8 a.m. before the opening games pit Ateneo de Davao University against Hinex at 9:30 a.m. and SOS against Faith Academy B at 11 a.m.
The visiting squad also tests the mettle of Ateneo in the 2 p.m. exhibition match over at Tionko football field.
Katipunera FC is bannered by team captain Antonette Amoncio, Marianne Caparros, Isabelle Sabio, Mica Corrales, Lia De Guzman, Cathy Cabrera, AC Temena, Isabelle Medina, Bea Velasco, Joly Catedrilla, Tessa Bernardo, Noelle Antonio, Sami Garcia, Inna Guarin, Anna Dio, Martie Bautista, Pam Diaz and Shannon Arthur.
Ateneo, meanwhile, leans on the services of Jessaree Acebes, Joannah Marie Adao, Alyahna Lucille Alovera, Alyssa Marie Ang, Alexi Nina Arrieta, Nica Zsanovy Mari Balahay, Janna Raizel Barcemo, Jan Camille Sebastian Budlong, Sofia Andrea Cadorna, Michaela Louise Co, Bai Saimirah Drew Datumanong, Angela Bea de Luna, Louise Gabrielle del Fierro, Kyrhen Angela Dimaandal, Samantha Grace Espino, Frances Coreen Shane Ostan, Jhessamae Pamisa, Bea Felice Panganiban, Kyra Noelle Paronda and Maria Inah Junessa Rosales with Rifa Cup champion coach Julio Orcasitas, Jr. at the helm. Rachelle "Ching" delos Reyes is assisting Orcasitas.
SOS Children's Village and Hinex teams are also entered in the 11-A-Side tournament organized by the Davao Football Association (DFA) women's committee.
Games will be played every Saturday in the single elimination round bootfest where the top two teams will arrange a titular showdown while the third and fourth teams will battle for third.
