UIC bets sweep youth bowlfest

UNIVERSITY of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) bets Adrian Tumarao and Grace Tamparong bested their respective rivals to share top honors in the SBC Youth Individual Weekly Tournament at the Fairlanes Bowling Center over the weekend.
Tumarao hit a total of 291 pinfalls after two games to clinch the boys' title while schoolmates Paolo Pamaran and Steven Bomediano grabbed the next two spots. Pamaran garnered 208 while Bomediano scored 207.
Tamparong topped the girls event by rolling 181 pins over Khryzza Sinsuat's 173 and Murielle Ampalayo's 171.
Players from Assumption College of Davao, Davao City National High School and Davao Wisdom Academy also competed in the weekly event organized by the Sunday Bowlers Club.
The SBC Vice-President Mix Dalawahan Valentine's Bowlfest, meanwhile, rolls off tonight at Fairlanes. The top three placers of the two-game series stakes P2,000, P1,500 and P1,000 courtesy of SBC vice-president Joe Torres. (MLSA)
