Canlubang Golf wins in PAL Seniors

QUICK joke. What does a condom and a golf ball have in common? They are both made of rubber. Some condoms have dimples too. Both come in different colors. Both no good when they are damaged. And, lastly, if used properly, makaka-'iscore' ka. Hehe.

And so, the 66th PAL Interclub Golf Tournament for the seniors has ended. Who are the winners?

In the Championship Division, the winning team, with a score of 568 points, is Canlubang team. The players are--Philip Brodett, Bert Bunye, Mari Hechanova, Dave Hernandez, Tony Olives, Rene Unson, Rolly Viray, and Luigi Yulo.

In second place is Luisita team with a score of 562 points. In third place is Pueblo de Oro team with 531 points.

In the Founders Division, the winning team with a score of 555 points, is Cebu Country Club team. The players are--Lor Alaan, Ramontito Garcia, Ray Gibbs, George Hong, Koichi Horii, Masatsugu Ochiai, Seok Kim Kwang and Nonoy Tirol.

In second place is Alta Vista team with a score of 550 points. In third place is Valley Golf team with a score of 538 points.

In the Friendship Division, the winning team, with a score of 392, is Brotherhood Sharp team. The players are--Max Berdal, Estoy Estrada, Phil Imperial, Jessie Reyes, Ric Reyes, Rolly Santos, Arnie Santos, and Cesar Servanda.

In second place is Fil-Am SFO team with a score of 377 points. In third place is Sienna Plantation team with a score of 375 points.

In the Sportswriters Division, the winning team, with a score of 460 points, is Texas team. The players are--Mike Acero, Mel Luna, Tony Buan, Rey Gallardo, Sam Lardizabal, Joey Mactal, Lino Oballo, and Aris Sunio.
In second place is SFO Crystal Springs team with a score of 456. In third place is Veterans team with a score of 453.

How did our Davao teams do?

Apo Golf was in the Founders Division and finished in 11th place with a score of 500 points.

Palos Verdes was in the Founders Division and finished in 14th place with a score of 490 points.

Lanang Golf Club was in the Sportswriters Division and finished in 5th place with a score of 448 points.

Davao City Golf Club was in the Sportswriters Division and finished in 21st place with a score of 412 points.

Who are the Davao players?

The players of the Apo Golf team are--Soc Cadayona, Ting Castillo, Jun Horfilla, Tibor Marcelino, Joe Marfori, Chito Nucum, Jun Serado, and Boy Tan.

The players of the Palos Verdes team are--Jeffreynante Abejay, Ramon TY Garcia, Vic Gonzales, Hermie Martin, Diemy Monedero, Archie Moralizon, Faisal Samanodi, and Bobby Wee.

The players of the Lanang Golf Team are--Bobby Dakudao, Abraham Dizon, Lito Dublan, Jong Dumlao, Oscar Grapa, Ken Hayashi, Rocky Pineda, and Joe Tesado.

The players of the Davao Golf team are--Charlie Aldevera, Frank Buno, Roger Costes, Marianing Fernandez, Vic Noble, Nick Olarte, Felicisimo Ramos, and Tony Tan.

In the Individual Standings, here are the top scorers:

In Flight A, in 1st place is Clifford Celdran of Pueblo de Oro with a score of 100 points. Tied for 2nd place are Ramontito Garcia of Cebu CC and Jose Mari Hechanova of Canlubang with a score of 99 points. Tibor Marcelino finished in 10th place with 92 points.

In Flight B, in 1st place is Buddy Velayo of Wack Wack with a score of 100 points. In 2nd place is Victor Yuvallos of Pueblo de Oro with a score of 99 points. In 3rd place is TJ Tejada of Villamor with a score of 98 points. Bobby Wee of Palos Verdes finished tied for 4th place with a score of 97 points.

In Flight C, in 1st place is Lino Oballo of Texas team with a score of 93 points. In 2nd place is Ryoo Si Kun of Eagle Ridge with a score of 91. Tied for 3rd place with a score of 90 are Jesse Magaoay of Fil-Am Hawaii and ConKoy Tuason of Manila Golf.

In Flight D, tied for 1st place are Jose Garrido of Skywest and Ed Franco of Mercedes Plantation with a score of 82 points. Tied for 3rd place are Joe San Nicolas, Ricardo Tan, Juan Angodong, Neil Mawdsley, Rudy Valdez, and Nelson Tandoc.
