66th PAL Interclub comes to an end

BEFORE anything else, I would like to mention that The Open Golf Tournament "Play for a Cause" was held at Apo Golf Club last March 2 and 3.

Here are the winners: overall gross champion-Al Rey Ceniza, overall net champion-Olivia Lee, class A gross champion-Ninot Galicia, class A net champion-Billy Tapucar, class B gross champion-Alex Maramba, class B net champion-Frank Buno, class C gross champion-Boy Latayan, class C net champion-Jericho Bajo, ladies division gross champion- Irene Shinmura, ladies division net champion-Stella Barnes.

Quick joke: What is the 11th commandment? Answer: Thou shall not eat salt. Why? Because it is “a-sin.” Corny. hehe.

And so, the 66th PAL Interclub Golf Tournament comes to an end. Here are the results:

In the Championship Division, Cebu Country Club is in first place with 507 points. The players are-Carl Almario, Andre Borromeo, Eric Deen, Mark Dy, Bayani Garcia, Montito Garcia, LJ Go, Gen Nagai, Joven Neri and Marko Sarmiento.

In second place is Alabang with 491 points. In third place is Del Monte with 485 points.

In the Founders Division, in first place is Orchard Golf with 472 points. In second place is Negros with 456 points. In third place is Southwoods team with a score of 451 points.

In the Friendship Division, in first place is Fil-Am Hawaii with 299 points. In second place is SFO Crystal Springs with 278 points. In third place is Pittsburg team with a score of 273 points.

In the Sportswriters Division, in first place is Club Filipino with 400 points, is Club Filipino. In second place is Zamboanga team with 385 points. In third place is Mactan Island team with 376 points.

How did our Davao teams do?

Apo Golf was in the Founders Division and finished in 9th place with a score of 400 points.

Palos Verdes was in the Founders Division and finished in 10th place with a score of 397 points.

Lanang Golf Club was in the Sportswriters Division and finished in 22nd place with a score of 306.

Davao City Golf Club was in the Sportswriters Division and finished in 24th place with a score of 296.

Who are the Davao players?

The players of the Apo Golf team are Karloz Alba, Pitt Jun Batu, Denden de Castro, Alimar Etrone, Leo Fusilero, Jorge Martinez, Peter Pineda, Chikoy Saavedra, Patrick Tan, and Toffee Tionko.

The players of the Palos Verdes team are Ninot Galicia, Paul Garcia, Vincent Gumapac, Mark Lopez, Monchit Mackay, Larry Miculob, Jeffrey Ramirez, Kuresh Samanodi, Christopher Tan, and Joel Yamyamin.

The players of the Lanang Golf Team are Francis Barlis, Peter Cabreros, Randy Cadiogan, Alrey Ceniza, Paul Dakudao, Danny Nagayo, Robert Plana, Dennis Salvador, Renato Sanchez, and Noe Taojo.

The players of the Davao Golf team are Marlon Aranas, Boy Braganza, Nilo Dalut, Willy de Leon, Jimmy Dureza, Gani Gascal, Ludwig Ledesma, Larry Pasquil, Roy Quemada and Benhur Villarosa.

In the Individual Standings, here are the top scorers:

In Flight A, in first place is John Kier Abdon of Southwoods with a score of 64 points. In second place is Juan Raul Tanpinco of Negros Golf with a score of 62 points. Tied for third place are Allenby Jiro Ramos of Alabang Golf and Steve Yoon of Southwoods with a score of 60 points. The Davao player with the highest score in Flight A is Pitt Jun Batu of Apo Golf with 55 points. He is in 14th place out of 176 players. Congrats ha!

In Flight B, in first place is Mark Dy of Cebu Country Club with a score of 64 points. Tied for second place are Joven Neri of Cebu Country Club and JIngy Tuason of Sta. Elena Golf with a score of 63 points. Joel Yamyamin of Palos Verdes team scored 60 points and is tied for fifth place. Chikoy Saavedra of Apo Golf scored 58 points and is tied for 10th place. Congrats Joel and Chikoy!

In Flight C, tied for first place are Cesar Rodulfo of Stanford and Larry Pasquil of Davao City Golf with a score of 62 points. In third place is Calixto de Leon of Victorias Golf with a score of 61 points. Paul Garcia of Palos Verdes finished in 11th place with 55 points. Congratulations Larry and Paul!

In Flight D, in first place is Andrei Cornejo of Iloilo Golf with a score of 57 points. In second place is Ferdie Sembrano of Leyte Golf with a score of 56 points. In third place is Gerald Paul Duremdes of South Cotabato with a score of 50 points.
