Arnis Philippines Davao head Mario Palazuelo bared this during the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at Calle Cinco Restobar along J.P. Laurel Avenue on Thursday.
Palazuelo said Tagum and Panabo teams have confirmed their participation in the tournament.
Davao City players, however, remain the heavy favorites including Palarong Pambansa-bound Bill Amper.
"This tournament will serve as selection for the city's team that will compete in the Batang Pinoy Games," Palazuelo said.
The one-day event will feature boys 43 to 47 kilograms (kgs), 47-51 kgs, 51-55 kgs. and 55 to 60 kgs.; girls 37 to 40 kgs., 40-44 kgs., 44-48 kgs. and 48-52 kgs.; and elementary eight to nine years old, 10-11 and 12-13 categories.
Medals await winners in the meet organized as part of the Araw ng Dabaw Sports Festival that is funded by the city government of Davao through the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office. (MLSA)
