Jr. NBA Regional Selection Camp on April 1-2

SOME 300 players from all over Mindanao and other parts of the Visayas are expected to join the Jr. NBA Regional Selection Camp slated April 1 and 2 at the University of the Philippines (Usep) Gymnasium and Cultural Center.
Neb Bulaclac, Davao leg host Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. marketing supervisor, said they have been receiving inquiries from players of Cebu, Leyte and Zamboanga.
"We urge Davao players 10 to 14 years old to join the camp and grab the opportunity to learn basketball from the experts for free," Bulaclac said in the vernacular.
Up to 10 participants from the Davao camp will be chosen to join the national training camp on April 26 to 28 in Manila.
A skills stations and clinics are set on the first day of the regional camp where the top 40 players will advance to the mini camp on Day 2 featuring more advanced basketball drills, scrimmages and team-building exercises.
In the national training camp, the best 10 players will form the Jr. NBA Philippines All Stars of 2013. A best coach will also be hailed.
A similar camp was held recently in Dagupan City. Next stop will be in Lucena City on April 6-7 and in Manila on April 13-14.
PPPI is the official partner of the Jr. NBA in Davao City, hosting all its program events in the city. (MLSA)
