Rody riders dominate Kadayawan 'Lumba'-A A +A

THE Team Rody Duterte Cycling Team riders dominated the the Mayor Rody and Vice Mayor Pulong Lumba Bisiklita sa Kadayawan held at Shrine Hills on Sunday morning.
The Rody riders amassed a total of 51 points while Team Abante of Digos City garnered 21 points to finish second and Team Trail of Davao City placed third with 12.
Ruben Pilapil topped the executive division while Eric Dave Apinar ruled the junior 22 years old and under division to gain seven points each for the Albert Alberca-coached cycling team.
Batang Pinoy-bound Brylee Chavez clinched the cadet 15-under title in road race to also earn seven points for the Duterte team.
Pilapil raced past former Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Dominic Carpio of Davao Pobre Bikers who settled for the runner-up honors while Novo Rey Roble of Abante-Digos came third. Tjhe next two places were occupied by Arman Talorong of Team Rody Duterte and Joel Rojo of Davao City.
The 29-year-old Roderick Donollo, who serves as Duterte cycling team captain, placed third in the open elite event while Ronel Daya of Abante Digos copped the BMX 20-years-old under crown.
Team Trail Outdoor's Ronnie Urdaneta, meanwhile, pocketed the open elite title of the bikefest organized as part of the annual Kadayawan sa Dabaw Sports Festival sponsored by the city government of Davao through the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office.
