UAAP champ DLSU Spikers to play in Davao-A A +A

REIGNING University of Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) champion De La Salle University (DLSU) will play the Manila volleyball All Stars in a friendly match for charity on Sept. 14 at the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) Gym.
Kenneth Tan, organizer of the event and the guest on Thursday's Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at B3 Lanes in NCCC Mall, said: “It’s for a good cause. The players have decided to come in full force to extend help for the youth of the charity institution called the Balay sa Adunay Pangandoy Youth Rehabilitation Center in Panacan.”
Abigail Maraño and Michele Gumabao will lead the cast for the UAAP champs while the Manila All-Stars will be composed of Fille Cainglet of Ateneo de Manila, Jaja Santiago of National University, Mayet Zapanta of Adamson University, Jen Reyes of National University, Ruby de Leon of National University, Sue Roces of Ateneo, and Chat Cruz of De La Salle University.
Preliminary games start at 1 p.m. pitting DLSU against Jose Maria College and Davao City All Stars against Manila All-Stars before the main match unfurls.
The Davao All-Stars will be bannered by players from Ateneo de Davao University, Philippine Women's College, Holy Cross of Davao, San Pedro College, and USEP.
General admission fee is P200 while VIP ringside ticket is pegged at P350.
