Davao rider captures 2 titles in Digos bikefest-A A +A

UNATTACHED rider Ronnie Urdaneta of Davao City captured two titles in the just-concluded Mayor Jojo Peñas Critirium Mountain Bike Challenge in Digos City.
Salvador Paholio, Jr., PhilCycling deputy secretary general for Mindanao, said the former Mayor Inday Sara Cycling Team member Urdaneta raced past Jun Gulapa of Midsayap, Cotabato and Manila-based Marvin Aleonar who finished second and third, respectively, in the open expert category.
Jan2x Maniyog of Kapalong, Davao del Norte placed fourth while Eric Donillo of Mayor Rody Duterte-DCSCC finished fifth.
Urdaneta doubled the feat by topping the junsen event at the expense of Gulapa, Digos bets Nataniel Carisma and Jerald Doraydo who took the next three spots.
Davao Pobre Bikers Association's Dominic Carpio clinched the executive title by outsprinting Shirwin Garcia and Novo Roble of Mayor Joseph Peñas cycling team.
Salome Zamora of Terrain Challenger 611, meanwhile, defeated Razel Cabeji and Marian Talip of Digos City for the ladies crown.
Davao City's Glenn Yap, Joel Rojo, Danilo Tapao, Roy Bacanaya,and Toti Samaneigo of Dapoba grabbed the first to fifth places in masters event while Aldrein Awit of the University of Mindanao-Mayor Rody Cycling Team sped past Nicko Tapao and Brylle Chavez of Terrain Challenger-Mayor Rody Cycling Team in the midget 18-under class.
