DCSP tames UM Wildcats-A A +A

THE DMMA College of Southern Philippines (DCSP) Mariners tamed the University of Mindanao (UM) Wildcats, 69-61, in the resumption of the Davao Champions League at the Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Gym over the weekend.
The Jose Maria College Kings also axed a win at the expense of Mats College of Technology Navigators, 76-49, while the Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Crusaders turned back Davao Central College Blazing Torch, 49-33.
In other games, host RMC Bulldogs clobbered STI Olympians, 63-46, while the Agro-Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines Sailors humbled Ateneo de Davao University Blue Knights, 69-61.
Over at the John Paul II College of Davao, the JPCD Saints overwhelmed STI Olympians, 83-50, while the HCDC Crusaders sank Mats Navigators, 80-73, in the cagefest presented by Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc.
A total of 15 schools from Davao City and one team from Panabo are entered in the league sanctioned by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas in Davao Region.
Teams were grouped into three and will play the single elimination format.
Cash prizes await winners of the meet where the champion squad will represent Davao City to the Mindanao Regional Championship of the Philippine Collegiate Champions League slated Nov. 9 to 11. (MLSA)
