Dunlop Jr. tennis opens in Mati City on Saturday-A A +A

IT'S all set for the 9th leg of Dunlop Sport-Mayor Carlo Rabat Junior Tennis Championships that will open on Saturday at the Clergy and Sainz Tennis Club courts in Mati City, Davao Oriental.
Philippine Tennis Association (Philta) regional vice president Juanito "Titong" Cansino, Jr., in an e-mail to Sun.Star Davao Wednesday, said the Group 3 event will feature 10 years old and under unisex, boys and girls 12, 14, 16, and under categories.
He said confirmed top players include Dunlop-sponsored players Jeleardo Amazona of Davao Oriental and Jenni Celine Dizon of Davao City along with Stephen Tubbs also of Davao, John David and Patricia Velez of Mati City.
Top netters Joshua Angelo Regino and Roy Angelo Padilla are also seeing action in the three-day competition sponsored by Asiatraders Corp. exclusive distributor of Dunlop and Slazenger and City Government of Mati through Mati City Mayor Carlo Rabat.
Rabat will lead the ceremonial serve.
