Sassy Boys rules Oktoberfest event-A A +A

THE Sassy Boys rolled over SanMig, 585-570, in just one game of the step-the-ladder finals to emerge champion in the Fairlanes-SBC Oktoberfest Open Bowling Tournament that wrapped up at Fairlanes Bowling Center Thursday evening.
Sassy Boys grabbed the top spot and twice-to-beat advantage after seven games with a total of 4,146 pinfalls while Shufflers (4,099), D' Adventurers 1 (3,982), Combination (3,960) and SanMig (3,960) occupied the next four spots.
SanMig, however, defeated Combination, 58-46, in the three-ball tie-break to move on into the finals round. SanMig breezed past D' Adventurers 1 via default before eliminating Shufflers, 606-582, to arrange a titular showdown with Sassy Boys.
Sassy Boys was powered by Muktan Amsirae, Arnel Crudo, Peter Morales, Johan Alonzo, Alex Alanunay, Eric Engracia, and Onyot Morales while SanMig leaned on SBC president Emie Orteza, Boying Magday, Danny Litao, Kevin Dumlao, James Cedeno, and Jun Tabat.
In the masters game, Magday stunned top qualifier and twice-to-beat Marlowe Castillo, 128-98, 127-111, to capture the title of the bowlfest organized by Fairlanes Bowling Center management in cooperation with the Sunday Bowlers Club.
No. 3 Magday demolished No. 4 Fuentes, 129-113, then routed No. 2 Amsirabe, 148-103.
Dodong Birondo of D' Who Car, meanwhile, clinched the highest pinning with 95 pinfalls even as Edwin Juezan of Jade took the highest individual single for hitting 161.
Boy Yu and Gemma Tan of Shufflers rolled 283 pins each to share the highest individual double honors while Sassy Boys also romped away with the highest team single (638) and highest team double (1,217).
Senen Maligang of D' Adventurers 1 shared the limelight by garnering 125.
Cash prizes were awarded to the winners of the annual event.
