JMC downs DCSP, 78-65-A A +A

THE Jose Maria College (JMC) Kings posted its third win in four games by beating DMMA College of Southern Philippines (DCSP) Mariner, 78-65, in the resumption Tuesday of the Top 6 single round robin format of the Davao Champions League at the Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Gym.
Jumabon Bulac poured in 28 points to lead scoring for the Kings who kept the Mariners at bay in all four periods of the game sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas Region 11. Bob Clu Ombecan and Kenny Riel Guibay added 15 and 10, respectively.
Ronald Bangoy canned 18 markers for the Mariners who dropped to 1-1 in the current team standings of the league presented by Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. His teammates Jhaymart Oquias and Al-naef Lacid made identical 11 points.
JMC, thus, is on top with a 3-1 card followed by 2-1 Agro-Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines (AIFCP) Sailors, 1-1, DCSP, 1-2 University of Mindanao (UM) Wildcats, 0-1 Ateneo de Davao University Blue Knights, and 0-1 Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Crusaders.
The round-robin games are expected to wrap up by month's end. The first four squads will book tickets to the semi-finals en-route to the championship that offers a cash prize of P15,000 to the titlist. (MLSA)
