Third is the Davao Merchant Marine Academy College of Southern Philippines (DMMASCP) Mariners who have 1-1 record, while the University of Mindanao (UM) Wildcats sit at fourth with a 1-2 record.
Rounding out the top six are Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) Blue Knights and Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Crusaders, both with a 0-1 record each.
The competition is currently on hold due to the participation of some of the Champions League teams in the Unigames. The games are set to resume on October 29 and to be played at the Rizal Memorial Colleges.
The quarterfinals is being played in a round robin format, and played among the top six teams in the competition, down from the initial 15.
Matt Cubero, President of the Collegiate Coaches Association called the Davao Champions League the "biggest and most prestigious tournament in Davao," and thanked Phoenix for the sponsorship.
Neb Bulaclac, Marketing Manager of Phoenix, shared that the champion of the Davao Champions League will receive P10,000, while the second and third placers will be awarded P7,500 and P5,000, respectively. Consolation prizes will also be given to the other teams.
