Garcia lifts Red past Blue in 2nd Agsca

BUSINESSMAN Benjamin Garcia sparked the Red team to a rousing 94-78 win over Blue in the resumption of the 2nd Ateneo de Davao University Grade School Community Association (Agsca) Daddy's Cup Basketball Tournament over the weekend.

Garcia, owner of 4BGA Corporation, buried 25 points for the Red squad that improved to a 3-3 win-loss card in the cagefest organized to promote the spirit of competition, friendship and respect among father-participants and their families.

The Red and Maroon teams shared the fourth spot of the current team standing of the league led by Green and Brown teams that toted identical 5-1 record followed by 4-1 Orange and 3-2 Gray.

Brown trounced Yellow, 81-69, behind Jong Palumbarit's 13 points while Maroon edged Red, 97-96, with Dondon de Guzman scoring game-high 35.
Team Maroon defeated Black via default.

Trailing were 2-2 White, 2-4 Yellow, 1-5 Black and 0-5 Blue.

Games will yet resume on January 5 at the Fr. Martinez Sports Center basketball courts, Ateneo Matina campus.
