3rd Vicenta Tionko Memorial Festival kicks off January 18

THE Davao Football Association, Inc. (DFA) will hold its 3rd Vicenta Tionko Memorial Festival on January 18, 2014, 8:00 am at the Tionko Football Grounds.

In an email from DFA general secretary Erwin Protacio, he said that the festival is a way of giving tribute, recognition, and gratitude to a person who has made a great contribution to the football industry particularly in Davao City.

The one-day seven-A-side festival will feature seven categories; 17-above boys, 15-above boys, 13-above girls and boys, 11-above boys, girls, and mixed; nine years old and above girls, boys and mixed; and seven-above girls, boys and mixed.

Each team composed of 10 players shall pay a P 500 contribution fee which is due on January 17. A photocopy of the players’ birth certificate shall be submitted as proof of age.

A coaches’ meeting is set on January 17, 2014, 5:00 pm at Davao FA Club House to finalize the details of the event.
