TEAM Mindanao hacked out two straight wins to end its bid in the Shakey's Girls Volleyball League Season 11 Tournament of Champions at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila on Thursday night.

Mindanao, mainly bannered by Ateneo de Davao University, hacked out a 25-23, 21-25, 25-23 win over Eastern Visayas in their Pool encounter. This came on the heels of Mindanao's 25-21, 18-25, 25-20 over Southern Luzon on Wednesday night.

"Sa third set, nauna ang Eastern Visayas, 23-19, pero pinakita ng mga bata ang kagustuhang maipanalo ang laro. May two wins and two losses ang standing namin. We will know by tomorrow if we retained the sixth overall ranking or improved to fifth place this year," Mindanao coach Sherwin Maganda said in text messages to Sun.Star Davao on Thursday night.
