ACD routs Ford, 83-62 in junior regional league-A A +A

THE Assumption College of Davao (ACD) Warriors routed Ford Academy of the Arts, 83-62, in the Sea Oil NBTC League Philex Mining Corporation Davao Junior Regional Championship in the sudden death match of their best-of-three finals series held recently at the Ladislawa Gym.
ACD's Allyn Bulanadi wa hailed most outstanding player as he averaged 27 points per game in the elimination round and 18 points per game in the championship round.
Davao leg coordinator Pochollo Elegino, in an e-mail to Sun.Star Davao, said the Tristan Ruzer Balino-coached ACD will represent the city to the National Finals set in Manila in March.
Ford took Game 1 by beating twice-to-beat ACD, 74-63, but the latter recovered after hacking out a rousing 89-76 win in Game 2.
ACD soared to a 21-13 lead at the end of the first period and kept Ford at bay, 42-35, at the break of the rubber clash.
Balino's wards never looked back to secure the victory with their aggresive plays and solid defense.
Mahloney Taranza canned 25 points to lead scoring for ACD as Michael Jay Gonzaga and Bulanadi chipped in 18 and 11, respectively.
Rald Nicole Barrera, Rey John Requina and Ronald Jabican combined for 33 in Ford's runner-up finish with coach Bambino Santander at the helm.’
ACD was also powered by Jose Miguel Presbitero, Kalen Axel Doromal, Robi Jullian Nayve, Elwin Kyle Toraja, Mark Sonny Salvador, Mark Edison Cabiles, Miguel Christian De Loyola, Michael Daniel Manalansan, Isiah Thomas Ay-ad, Chris Marvin VIstal, Dennis Roldan Reyes and John Rey Honra.
