IT'S all systems go for the P1.55-million Mayor Rody Duterte and Vice Mayor Pulong Duterte 77th Araw ng Dabaw Sports Festival that will open with a volleyball tournament slated March 8 at the Davao City National High School (DCNHS) volleyball court.

Sponsoring Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office (SDD-CMO), headed by officer-in-charge William "Butch" Ramirez, will fund the officiating fees, cash prizes, medals and trophies, among other expenses, needed for the 22 sports entered in this year's edition of the annual sportsfest.

It is interesting to note that the city sports office also catered to sports organizations that are not affiliated with national sports associations at the same time giving equal opportunities for rival organizations to also hold their respective events.
