Sakya, Lady Knights book finals berths

THE Sakya FC and Lady Knights FC booked finals berths by grabbing the first two spots in the 3rd Davao Football Association (DFA) U17 Girls Football League that resumed at the Faith Academy Football Field, Marfori Heights over the weekend.

Both teams settled to a scoreless draw with similar three wins, one draw and zero loss card but Sakya took the No. 1 spot with a higher goal difference.

Hinex Khanj United, meanwhile, blanked Brgy. Lasang FC, 14-0, to place third in the team standings. Sanaa Jikiri, Ernielyn Carriedo, Rheza Camenade, Allyn Ravanes, Krista Villa-Abrille and Annika Ong led scoring for the team.

Faith Academy, however, trailed at fourth one win and three losses while Barangay Lasang dropped to the bottom with four defeats.

The titular showdown and battle for third is set Saturday.

The bootfest is organized by the DFA women's committee and sponsored by Taku Football Foundation, Magic Jelly Powdered Gulaman, Hinex Janitorial and Allied Services and Khanj T-shirt Maker.
