A SCIENTIFIC approach will be adopted as the Best Center Davao Summer Basketball Clinic starts on May 5 to 10 at the Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) Matina Campus, Martinez Sports Complex.

Best Center Davao commissioner Michael Chad Bouffard, who was a guest in Thursday's Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at NCCC Mall Davao B3 Center lanes, said that their clinic will use fundamentals and instruments that will really help the youngsters learn and apply the principles of basketball.

“We assure everybody that our basketball clinic will be focused on quality and not quantity. Our trainers are highly trained and even the training equipment to be used is of high quality,” he said.

Bouffard said they are expecting 400 participants for this year’s course open for enthusiasts and beginners.

He said they are still coordinating with national basketball stars that are products of Best Center Basketball Clinic, to hopefully join the event such as Chris Tiu and the Ravena brothers, Kiefer and Thirdy.

Registration is still ongoing for levels 2, 3 and 4 at the Gate 3 of AdDU Matina Campus with P2,800 registration for each participant.

A local tournament will be conducted right after the clinic sponsored by Milo. The winner will then advance to the regional tournament against teams from the cities of Zamboanga, General Santos and Cagayan de Oro.

The national finals is set in Cebu City.
