“This is not just a regular workshop because this will help educate the coaches about the importance of strength and conditioning in order to have a healthier body and sharper mind,” Ayo said.

He said that there is a big need to educate the sports leaders, “This is our contribution to that education. I hope everybody could see the value of these topics to strengthening the sports industry.”

Some 30 coaches are expected to join the seminar that will give out lectures and actual hands-on exercises.

Topics to be discussed are basic periodization, self-myofascial release and flexibility, setting-up a strength and conditioning program, principles of strength and conditioning, and a special aquatic strength and conditioning training set at the Fr. Rodolfo Malasmas, S.J. swimming pool.

Registration fee is P3,500 inclusive of lunch and training certificate.
