THE DMMA College of Southern Philippines (DCSP) spikers and Jose Maria College (JMC) Kings drew first blood at the start of the Davao City Summer Sports for Peace Festival Collegiate Men's and Women's Volleyball and Basketball competitions at the University of Mindanao (UM) Matina Gym yesterday.

DCSP spanked Philippine Women's College (PWC), 25-20, 23-25, 25-18, in men's volleyball while JMC Kings, coached by Nick Serafica, hacked out a rousing 93-70 win over the Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Crusaders in men's basketball.

Serafica's wards collide with the Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Bulldogs at 4 p.m. today. Serafica said they will just take one game at a time.
"Dililangmagkumpyansa (We can't be complacent)," Serafica said in a phone interview with Sun.Star Davao yesterday.
