THE 6th Calinan Fiesta Chess Tournament will get underway on July 20 and 27 at the Calinan Park.

Calinan Chess Club secretary Joseph Palermo, who guested along with Club treasurer Roy Onilongo in the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the NCCC Mall B3 Center yesterday, said the annual chess tournament features open, 14 and 16 years old, and 12-under categories.

Palermo said the event, organized by Calinan Chess Club and sponsored by Davao City third district Cong. Isidro Ungab, will expect players from Marilog, Baguio, Tugbok, and Calinan Districts.
