Dalayon, Santos top Blue Knight Tenpin qualifiers

RENE Dalayon and Pacquito Santos figured in a tie for the top spot as they willed to dethrone last week's top bowler William Galacio in the resumption of the Blue Knight Tenpin Open Tournament held at the NCCC Mall B3 Center on Friday.

Dalayon and Santos garnered a total of 1903 pinfalls each after 10 games. Dalayon, a former fourth placer, and Santos, a sixth place sitter, both moved to the top spot in the standings as the qualifying round ended.

Manuel Nierra II grabbed the second spot after hitting a total of 1896 pinfalls followed by Toto Delfin with 1884 for the third. Sonny Dimaano and Manny Nierra (1877) tied for the fourth place while Sammy Talaboc (1873) with Chrstal Chavez (1872) and Al Langkno (1860) took fifth and sixth place, respectively.

Other qualifyers include Diane Galendez, Romy Serrano, Celso Garcia Jr., William Galacio, and Ray Snyder.

Meanwhile Dalayon received P2,000 cash prize for being the Top Qualifier while Nierra II, for his part, was named Blue Knight Top Bowler and received P5,000 with a trophy.

Games will resume on July 25, Friday at B3 Center.
