Ateneo, Mintal NHS post wins

THE Ateneo de Davao University and Mintal National High School beat their respective rivals to draw first blood in the recent opener of the Davao Football Association Inter-High School Tournament at the Tiongko Field.

Ateneo A crushed Emar Learning Center, 9-0.

Ateneo A's Javier Romero-Salas scored a hat trick as teammates Darius Joseph Diamante and Joshua Lim added two goals apiece. John Rhey Lagura and Joshua James Valdez contributed one goal each.

Mintal NHS, on the other hand, thrashed international Christian School of Davao, 14-0.

Also entered in the 11-A-side, single round-robin format tournament are Davao City National High School, Davao Central High School, Philippine Women’s College, Calinan National High School, Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School, Southpoint School, St. Paul College, Elias Lopez National High School, A.L. Navarro National High School, Crossing Bayabas National High School, Rizal Memorial Colleges, Holy Cross of Mintal, University of Mindanao, and Philippine College of Technology (PCT). (KRP)
