U12 boys grassroots tournament kicks off

THE Davao Football Association (DFA) U12 Boys Grassroots Tournament opens today at the Tionko field.

Ateneo de Davao University collides with Southpoint School at 7:30 a.m. in Group A while Lasang FC battles Catalunan Grande at 8:30 a.m. in Group B. The Hyenas FC and Black Knights FC clash against each other in Group C at 9:30 a.m.

Group A also casts Mintal Interage FC and Southpoint School while St. Paul Davao, Matina Central Elementary School are also entered in Group B with Crocs FC that has yet to confirm.

The International Christian School of Davao, Philippine Women complete the teams in Group C.

Games will also be played on August 9 and 10 in the 11-A-Side single round-robin tournament.

The top two teams in each group will advance to the next round of the bootfest governed by Fifa laws and DFA ground rules

The DFA U14 Girls Tournament, meanwhile, will unfurl on August 9 with three games to be played.Southpoint/Sakya will face Columbia FC at 7:30 a.m. while Ateneo High School will meet Ateneo Grade School at 8:30 a.m. The last game will pit A.L. Navarro National High School against Philippine College of Technology at 9:30 a.m.

Games in the DFA Inter-High School Tournament will resume this weekend.
