Ateneo squads triumph

THE Ateneo-A, Ateneo-B and St. Paul College of Davao (SPCD) axed wins in the resumption of the Davao Football Association Inter-High School Football Tournament at the Tionko field Sunday.

Ateneo-A crushed Holy Cross of Calinan (HCC), 15-0, behind the goals of Javi Romero-Salas who sparked the team with five goals. Other Ateneo scorers were Chiyo Uy, Luke Justin Amoguis, John Rey Lagura , Lance Espino, Gerry Pamisa and Khalil Jikiri.

Ateneo-A secured its first win while HCC suffered its first loss in Group A.

In group C, Ateneo-B blanked International Christian School of Davao (ICSD), 9-0, with Rafael Lagon leading the charge for Ateneo with four goals. Ateneo-B paced the group with two wins and zero loss.

SPCD, meanwhile, thrashed Southpoint School, 8-0, courtesy of goals coming from Rafael Sason, Stan Calawigan, Peter Jardin, Harry Barnett and Miguel Dizon.

SPCD snatched the solo lead in Group B with two wins and Zero loss while Southpoint slumped with two losses.

Games will resume this weekend.
