SOME 100 runners are expected to answer the 7 p.m. gun start of the Kadayawan Ultramarathon on Saturday at the Brokenshire College, Madapo Hills in Davao City.

Manila-based Dabawenyo organizer Roel Ano, in an e-mail, said assembly time is at 4 p.m. with a cut-off time of 20 hours.

He said registration fee is P1,950 inclusive of racebib, singlet, finisher's shirt, medal, plaque, carbo loading and finisher's meal.
The top three men's finishers will pocket P10,000, P7,000 and P5,000 while the first three women's finishers will go home with P6,000, P5,000 and P4,000.

Ano, of Race Logic Events Management, also bared that the Kadayawan Color Fun Run, featuring 3K, 5K and 10K categories, will serve as a side event of the ultra-marathon. Registration fees are P300 (3K), P350 (5K, 10K) with race bib, singlet, certificate and medal for the first 100 finishers.

"We expect 1,500 runners in the color fun run where top three finishers will also claim cash prizes," Ano said.

The first three placers in men's and women's 10K events will receive P2,500, P1,500 and P1,000 while P1,500, P1,000 and P700 will be awarded to the men's and women's top three finishers.

The male and female 3K division stakes P1,000, P700 and P500 to the top three runners.

Registration is ongoing at Brokenshire College every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; at People's Park daily at 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; at Toby's Arena every Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays at 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and at Adidas Gaisano Mall Davao daily from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
