Sakya, SOS FC continue dominant run in league-A A +A

HEAVY Favorites Sakya FC and SOS Children's Village Football Club (FC) extended their respective winning streaks to seven games apiece after routing their rivals as the Sun.Star Davao-sponsored She Futsal League resumed Saturday at the SM Lanang Premier Parking Lot C.
Sakya FC zeroed Ateneo A, 29-0, led by the superb effort of team captain Moira Calizo along with teammates Zulieka Yee, Nikkita Yee, Shanelle Ostan and Chrisitine Carasig.
Calizo absolutely hammered the opposition with her personal contribution of 13 goals while Yee N. chipped in with six goals.
Ateneo-A, for its part, extended their losing streak in the league to eight games.
SOS FC, meanwhile, demolished the Strippling Warriors FC, 18-2.
SOS FC and Brasil's Street Child World Cup Golden Boot Awardee Agot Danton spearheaded the onslaught by attacking the hapless defense of the Strippling Warriors team from the start to end.
Danton peppered Strippling's goal with shots, converting eight goal attempts to lead the rout.
Danton, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao, said all their hard work paid off, resulting in a good record.
With the rout, Strippling Warriors recorded its sixth loss in the tournament.
On the other hand, DDS Hinex secured its third win by holding off University of the Philippines-Mindanao, 3-2. Maria Concordo delivered two goals as fellow booter Bianca Magpantay assisted with one goal.
UP-Mindanao sank to a 2-6 win-loss record.
The She Futsal League was organized by the Maharlika Sports Development Institute Inc.
Games were still being played as of press time Sunday.
