Team Homer wins Kadayawan bowlfest

TEAM Homer emerged as champion in the recently-concluded Sunday Bowlers Club (SBC) 29th Kadayawan sa Dabaw Open Bowling tournament Saturday night at the Fair Lanes Bowling Center.

Homer, bannered by members Muktan Amsirabe, Paul Tengsoia, Roy Amsirabe, Alex Alanunay, Sky Sajile, and Nadz Amsirabe, joined efforts to claim the title and pocket the P10,000 cash prize plus a trophy, followed by 1st runner-up Jonzlibz's Jay Libres, Berting Gorgonio, Oca Aplicador, Boy Fuentes, Jojo Sta. Maria, Plutie Banlasan who took home P8,000 and a trophy.

D' Adventurers 2 with members Mars de Guzman, Lalio Elumbaring, Mads Lauro, Ping Efondo, Jimmy Sia, Vic Pusod, Michael Omandac settled for the 2nd runner-up honors to take home P6,000 and a trophy while Doverlanes Gerry Farin, Noli Bae, Anel Aluyan, Ador Mateo, May-May Ebord Fred Pilare, Pamping Ihao, Bong Vergara occupied the 3rd runner-up place, receiving P4,000 and a trophy.

Special awards were given to individual players. Ipet Chua of MLC team was awarded as for being the highest pinning player, Homer's Tengosia for the highest individual single scorer, and Jonlibz's Boy Fuentes for being the highest individual double points and highest individual average. All of them received P500 cash prize.

Teams DCWD 2 and Homer were awarded P1,000 for the highest team single and double scorers, respectively.

Fuentes, for his part, also clinched the title in the masters event to pocket P1,500, besting Maria Liza Berandoy, Berting Gorgonio, and Lalio Elumbaring who occupied the next three spots. The latter received P1,000, P700, and P500 each in the event supported by the City Government of Davao through the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office.
