In the 8-under division, Crocs A captured the title by besting Hyenas Yellow, Hyenas Blue, and Crocs B who wounded up in the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.

Kian Terence Niu and Bien Wade Arrieta were the most valuable player and best goalkeeper awardees, respectively.

Hyenas FC, meanwhile, defeated Philippine Women's College (PWC) for the 6-under division title. PWC placed second followed by Southpoint School (SPS) and New Kids for the third and fourth ranks.

Maharlika Sports Development Institute, Inc. (MSDII) executive director Edgar Te, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao at the sidelines of the football festival, said the event was organized to provide an avenue for grassroots players to play the sport of football.

"It's a way for them to be more exposed and oriented with the sport of football," Te added.

Winners received medals and trophies in the event sponsored by the City Government of Davao through the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office (SDD-CMO), Hyenas Football Club and MSDII.

Other championship games were still being played as of presstime.
